Welcome to AsAManThinks — a platform for consciousness cultivation, wisdom traditions, and contemplative practice. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of asamanthinks.com, all of its sub-sites (Wellness, Oracle, Library, Wiki, Labs, Wings, CTK Toolkit, the marketing site), and all features and services offered through them (collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Beta program
The Platform is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data may occasionally be reset. Performance, uptime, and content selection should not be relied on for critical workflows. The Library catalog (currently seven titles) is free to read for signed-in beta members; pricing and purchase will be enabled when individual titles leave beta.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be 16 years or older to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms with you. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide (name, email, optional birth date for astrology and numerology features) is accurate, and that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that abuses the Platform, attempts to scrape content, or violates the laws of your jurisdiction.
3. What the Platform is — and is not
The Platform offers tools for self-reflection, contemplative practice, and wisdom inquiry. It includes AI-assisted features (MaiiaM Messenger, MaiiaM Oracle, the Wellness companion, and others) that respond to your inputs using local and/or cloud-based language models.
The Platform is not a substitute for medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional. The Wellness app's "Mental Guard" feature is a self-reflection tool, not a clinical service.
4. AI-generated content
AI responses across the Platform (Messenger, Oracle, Wings, etc.) are generated by language models — local (when you have one configured) or cloud (Anthropic Claude, by default). They are probabilistic, not authoritative. They may be wrong, incomplete, biased, or out of date.
You agree to use your own judgment in evaluating any AI output. The Platform's "dynamic" inference mode automatically routes inference to your own local model (via the browser bridge) when one is available — see our Privacy Policy for the data flows involved.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of everything you create on the Platform: journal entries, oracle readings, lab session results, chat history, notes, and any other inputs. We store this content so the Platform can offer it back to you and personalize features (Memory Events, Wings analysis, Auto-Journal drafts).
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content for the purpose of running the Platform's features (e.g. injecting your recent journal entries into Oracle interpretations). We do not use your content to train AI models, sell to advertisers, or share with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Library books
Books in the AsAManThinks Library remain the copyrighted property of their author, Weslyn C. Whitehead Jr., and are licensed to you for personal reading only. You may not download, redistribute, modify, or use the books to train AI models. Reading sessions are recorded as Memory Events to enrich the personal context offered to you by Oracle and Messenger; this stays within your account and is not shared.
7. Purchases (when enabled post-beta)
Purchases of books, courses, or premium features will be processed by WooCommerce, our e-commerce subsystem on the WordPress backend. Pricing, refund windows, and licensing terms for each purchasable item will be published on its product page. Refund requests for digital goods are handled case-by-case within 30 days of purchase.
8. Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform to harass, threaten, or abuse another person.
- Attempt to compromise the Platform's security, scrape content, or evade rate limits.
- Use AI features to generate content that violates law (CSAM, credible threats, etc.).
- Resell access to the Platform.
- Reverse-engineer the Platform or its math foundations beyond fair use.
9. Intellectual property
The AsAManThinks Mathematics Framework, MaiiaM Wings (TERA, Breath Cycle, Sign-Inversion mechanisms), the NeterGaiiaM engine, the Library catalog, the design system, and all source code remain the property of AsAManThinks and its founders. Three foundational technologies are filed under USPTO provisional patents (64/040,504; 64/040,509; 64/040,513). Your use of the Platform does not transfer any of those rights to you.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from app.asamanthinks.com → Settings → Delete Account. We will permanently remove your personal content within 30 days of deletion, subject to legal retention requirements.
We may terminate or suspend your account for material breaches of these Terms. We will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data unless the breach involves illegal activity.
11. Disclaimers & liability
The Platform is provided "as is" during beta. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AsAManThinks disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow limits of this kind; in those jurisdictions, our liability is the minimum permitted by law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves out of beta. Material changes will be announced on the marketing site and via email to your registered address at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of San Francisco County, California, or by binding arbitration if both parties agree.
